John B.'s Review of Into The Volcano By Don Wood
The genre of Into The Volcano was graphic novel. There are two main characters, Duffy Pugg and Sumo Pugg who are brothers. The setting of this story is Kochalaha a made-up island in the pacific. It starts off when the boys are in class and get called to the principal's office. The get there and find out they are going to Kochalaha to visit their aunt LuLu. They fly to Kochalaha in a private jet with lots of food. There they travel around the island on many adventure in order to find a treasure. I am not sure what exactly the author was trying to tell me but the message might have been to stick together. I didnt really enjoy the book because it was pretty slow.

Cam J.s Book Review of Roberto Clemente By: Wilfred Santiago
GENRE:
Graphic Novel
The main character of the book is Roberto Clemente
The setting of the book is Pittsburgh 1972
Roberto Clemente grew up on the island of Puerto Rico and did not have a lot of money so Roberto moved to the United States to start his career in baseball. When he went to Pittsburgh they thought he was crazy because back then white people didn't really except black people but when they saw him play baseball they picked him right away. So the book goes on about his life. When he retires he told his mom that he was moving back home and she was excited. When the plane was taking off there was a problem with the engine and it crashed in the ocean and they never found his body. I think what the author is telling us is what Robertos life was like and his baseball experience. I really liked this book because i enjoy baseball.

Alex the great's Review of Anya’s Ghost by Neil Gaiman
Genre: Graphic novel
WHO IS THE MAIN CHARACTER? The main character is Anya. She is a teenager and she is a very troubled kid that really doesn't like her mom.
WHAT IS THE SETTING OF THE STORY? The setting of the story is in America in a little town house and also at the local school.
GIVE A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE BOOK. Anya’s a teenage girl with a lot of sass. At the beginning of the book Anya's really worried about fitting in at school and she is very self conscious about her body. She likes to skip school with her best friend and one day she is walking in the woods by the park and she starts day dreaming about this guy she likes and falls in a well. She finds this ghost named Emily and at first Anya doesn't like the ghost and she wants nothing to do with Emily. Once Emily is taken out of the well by Anya for a while she helps in school and with boys. But then Emily started taking over Anyas life, bossing her around telling her what to wear. Anya tries to stand up to her and Emily gets really mad and then starts terrorizing her family. Anya takes her finger runs back to the well and has a big fight with Emily the ghost. But read the book to find out what happens to Anya and Emily's relationship.
WHAT IS THE AUTHOR TRYING TO TELL US? The author is trying to tell the reader that everything can turn out bad and you have to be cautious about what you do.
WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE BOOK? I thought the book was very interesting. Not too long but not too short the tempo of the book wasn't too slow. I thought it was just perfect all around I thought this book was great
